The Bottom Line
With 15 PTO days, a US worker can realistically get 35–40 total days off in 2026 by stacking around holidays. That's more than double what most people achieve by taking random weeks off.
The trick is planning early. Every one of these windows works better when you book flights and hotels before prices spike.
